Back 2 School

Do you remember your first day at school? I remember having to walk to kindergarten and crossing railroad tracks. The cross walk guard at the tracks always gave us candy if we crossed quietly and politely. I remember very little about kindergarten other than being scared to take my tray up to the lunch lady when I was done, and a dentist coming to our class to teach us the proper way to brush your teeth. I also remember nap time and how big the school seemed to be.

If you have captured your first day at school, or especially your child's first day, Scraps by Andrea has just released a cute new kit just for you. Back 2 School is packed, and I mean packed full, of awesome elements, cool papers, and there might just be a freebie too. There are 31 papers, 77 Unique elements {Date and word labels also}, and a full alpha.

Here's my baby girl (she's a sophomore in high school now), on her first day of kindergarten. I loved that little polo shirt/dress thing she wore. She was so excited! She didn't want to leave.

One of my favorite indicators of a great kit is - can it be used beyond its intended purpose? If so, if it's versatile to be used for layouts different from the theme - then it is a winner in my book. I created the layout below to capture a piece of art (museum-worthy really) that my 2 year old created at daycare.

Told you there was a freebie. Head on over to the STS store, and in the product description, there's a link to this lil' gem of a freebie. Go now, it'll only be there for one week.
Enjoy!
