Speed Scrap

If you haven't tried a Speed Scrap at Stuff to Scrap (STS), I suggest you join in on the fun sometime. It's a quick, easy, and always fun way to complete a layout. 7 instructions, 1 hour, 1 great layout. And you get a prize just for participating...

Did I mention it's easy? Which is a good thing when you're sick with the flu like me... :( I had to try it...I was getting tired of laying in bed.

Manda Lane Scraps hosted it tonight. Here were the instructions:

STEP 1: Pick 4 pictures. Hint, one will be cropper 6x12 (for a split layout) and the others will be smaller. (you can make the big picture vertical or horizontal)
STEP 2: Pick out 2 papers, one plain (or plainish) and one patterned.
STEP 3: Crop one photo 6x12 and the other 3 photos about 2.5 x 2.5 or 3x3.
STEP 4: Place your plain paper as your background paper and add your 6x12 picture to one side. Crop the pattern paper into 3 2x2 squares and alternate paper and picture squares along the side opposite of your big picture.
STEP 5: Pick a tag element and date it and then another element and add them to your layout. (or a small cluster of elements instead of just the one if you would like)
STEP 6: Put little captions between the paper squares and the pictures, or near the pictures. If it's easier, you can also just make your journaling fit around your picture and paper square arrangement.
STEP 7: Title your layout in two sections (half top and the other half bottom or something similar) and make sure to add your drop shadows. Add anything else that you think it might need.

And here is the end result. Not all layouts turn out the same...which is the cool part.
Here is the kit I used...
